Signs and symptoms of Beat Knee |
| Beat Knee (Bursitis) is a condition caused by inflammation of the Bursa.
The Bursa is a sack containing fluid that allows the surfaces in the joints to move smoothly.
There are conditions which result in acute inflammation of the tissues under the skin of the
affected joint. Beat Knee results from constant kneeling and is particularly prevalent among coal
miners. Beat Elbow is also common within the mining community, and can result from
crawling in mining seams, or from holing and boring. |
 |
| Symptoms include itchy and dry skin, which may become cracked and sore.
This condition is usually caused by prolonged external friction or pressure at or about the knee,
usually found in workers who kneel too much. |

Making a claim for Beat Knee |
| The government is likely to launch a scheme this year to provide compensation
to people suffering from this condition. No details have been released yet, but it is likely
that employer's failure to provide the correct safety equipment may have aggravated the condition. |

claims and have a success rate of almost 100% of claims handled nationwide recovering millions of
pounds in compensation. Simply call us or fill out the claims form and we will contact you
